John died two days after our 40th reunion. He was up in Minocqua, WI.... a place that he long loved. While I had not seen John in ten years, I want to remember him as he was during the more carefree times. John always had quiet smarts and a great sense of humor especially around his friends and he was a good friend. He loved his family and life in the great north woods. He had natural athletic ability that would piss you off because it came to him easily. He had a gentile kindness that I wish was more contagious. He was my friend and I will miss him.
