After graduating from OPRF, I attended Triton College and pitched on the 1973 State Championship Baseball Team.
I then attended and graduated from Aurora University.
After graduating from Aurora, I signed with the San Francisco Giants.
I retired from professional baseball in 1980, and obtained employment with the Illinois Department of Corrections and held several administrative positions such as Warden of Joliet Prison, Deputy Chief of Parole, and Assistant Deputy Director.
I retired from Corrections in 2010....Dottie and I were married in 2011 and we recently purchased a home in Las Vegas.
And yes,....WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS...STAYS IN VEGAS !!
The story I always enjoy telling is that ......I was on the baseball team as a pitcher at OPRF all 4 years but I never got a chance to play !! I sat on the bench for good old Jack Kaiser.....but in spite of that, went on to pitch for the State Championship Team at Triton and eventually pitch at the professional level with the San Francisco Giants ! That Jack Kaiser was a fine judge of talent !!
